Hotels in Madinah

Most hotels in Madinah are in the central area (Markazia) around Masjid an-Nabawi, where hotels open onto the courtyards. Mid-range hotels a few streets back are a 5 to 10-minute walk and much cheaper. Quba is quieter but needs a taxi for each prayer.

How should you book a hotel in Madinah?

  • Peak dates: prices rise in Ramadan and before and after Hajj, when many pilgrims combine Makkah and Madinah.
  • Airport and train: Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport and the Haramain train station are both outside the centre, so plan a taxi or the hotel's transfer.
